7/20-7/23 Red Trail Campground, Medora, ND

We took in the Pitchfork Fondue and the Medora Musical the first night we were here!  The steaks are cooked on pitchforks and the food was very good.  There was an after dinner show by Joey O, who is a trick golfer, of all things.

The musical was good and was started by the inventer of Mr. Bubble!  He restored the town to its former glory.  We were treated to the sight of an elk on the hill before the musical started.  He was as big as the horse that went up to herd him down for the night.

We toured both the North and South sites of Theodore Roosevelt National Park.  The road was closed in the North site, so the trail was very short...not worth the 50+ mile journey from the interstate to get there.

  1. I always loved to see the elk silhouetted on the hillside before the show. Growing up in Sidney, MT going to Medora was often a summer event for us.
