4/20-5/1- Chesapeake Bay Resort, Gloucester, VA

This is a nice Thousand Trails campground with a large lake, and right on the Piankatank River.  We met Sandy and Tony, some nice folks who live around here and just moved to an annual site with their 5 dogs.

Visitor Center
We took a tour into Gloucester Visitor Center and talked to a very nice lady that gave us a lot of info.  She also talked Steve into watching the Civil War movies they had there, so we stayed awhile!

We spend Earth Day driving around the area and we saw Walter Reed's birthplace, Rosewell Plantation, Abingdon Church and Wade Church.
