Our next trip was to Franklin, where we toured the State Capitol, the Kentucky Horse Park, and a Frank Lloyd Wright home. We got to see Cigar, Funny Cide and Go for Gin at the horse park.

Our last stop was to Churchill Downs Museum and Tour! We were a week early for the Derby, but they had already started the weeklong festivities, including a marathon! We had to park 3 miles away because all the streets were blocked off. Cathy was exhausted by the time we got there! We saw Mine that Bird, who lives at the track now, and ate at the Derby cafe (Mint Juleps and Burgoo!!!)
