5/1-5/8 Mountain Shadows RV Park, Draper, UT

 Came to this part of the country to visit with Cathy's Aunt Joyce and cousin Scott, his wife Cindy, son Tyler and Tyler's new baby son.  Baby was still in the hospital, and we missed seeing Tyler and his girlfriend, too.  But, we had a great lunch and visit with Joyce, Scott and Cindy; and Scott toured us around a couple of places.  We also saw Scott and Cindy's new house!  What a castle!!!

We started out, though touring the Aquarium in Sandy.  We decided this was more for kids, as it is very small.
Then on to the State Capitol building.


Then we toured Temple Square!  Beautiful buildings and flowers everywhere.  We were also able to see the Tabernacle and Choir practice that night.  What voices!!

Scott came with us to the Bingham Canyon Copper Mine, and we toured the visitor's center and looked down into the mine.  It is hard to imaging the perspective, but Steve is standing by one of the truck tires they use to move the ore to the smelter!

Steve visited Park City on his own the next day, and was intrigued by the genealogy centers he saw.  He stopped into one and found out that his great-grandfather Fred was a telephone lineman!  I guess phone company work runs in the family!!!  Sadly, he is unrelated to the bear.

We were able to have lunch with our friends Linda and Gary, as they were up visiting and doctoring.  It is fun to see friends in other places than where you first met them!

 We took a tour to Bountiful to see a Frank Lloyd Wright house.  We decided that you need to see these in winter, otherwise the trees block your view!
