This is an Encore park, so half price for us! Steve likes this part especially. The first night we celebrated "Festivus" which apparently a Seinfield thing. Everyone aired their grievances, and then some played Wii bowling. We also participated in the Christmas potluck dinner, yummy!!
We took a road trip to see "The Villages", a retirement community here. Too big for us!

We toured the Homosassa State Wildlife Park, and got to see some manitees from an underwater observation platform. This park has only animals native to Florida, with the exception of the hippo, who was here before the park "went native". The legislature voted to give him a Florida passport, so now he is "legal".

We took the opportunity to snorkle with the manitees! Cathy found out she is definitely NOT a snorkler, but was able to interact with a baby manitee who came up to visit while she was floating along in the preserve!
