4/3-4/24 Thousand Trails RV Resort, Las Vegas, NV

We got a good spot this time, right in front with an island of grass and trees right by the front door!  Steve got scolded for letting Dottie outside without a leash, even though she was just sitting there!  Have you ever tried to put a cat on a leash, that wasn't trained to it???  It is a fun show, but claws and teeth may be dangerous!!

We had dinner with friends a lot!! Charlene and Ken, Paula, Holly and Pete (sorry about the whipped cream, Pete; really!), Carol and Ron, Kim and Ronn, Jessye and Guy, Donni and John, Karen, Connie and Dave.  Thanks for some great eats and even greater conversation and laughter!!! Charlene and Ken adopted us, and we ate there A LOT!!! As always, GREAT food.

While here, we took in a 51's game (the local AAA Baseball team, which is a farm team for Toronto, and named after Area 51).  It was 71 degrees when we entered the parking lot, and 52 degrees when we left the game!!!  Cathy loved the temperature drop!

Charlene and Cathy took in the Nevada State Museum, but forgot it was the day before Easter and the place was PACKED with kids for the Easter egg hunt and other fun stuff.  We didn't see everything, but were tired anyway.

Took a trip around Red Rock again, and wouldn't you know, it was wet and drizzly and cold, again this time!

Steve visited the Mob Museum, took in some high school track meets (Paula's son participated in them), and spent some time kayaking Lake Mead while Paula practiced swimming for her triathalon.

Steve was feted at a 60th birthday party thrown by some of his friends.  Yes, he is wearing googly eye glasses and is drinking a 1/2 yard of beer!

We toured Pahrump, NV and hooked up with old friends Jim and Tobi.  We almost became landowners in NV.

Steve, Cathy and Ken participated in a raft trip down the Black Canyon, below the Hoover Dam.  Very interesting story of the dam and of the hot springs you can feel running out of the canyon walls.

Aren't these two some snazzy adventurers????:
